Well, my knee is swollen and painful. So I have pulled off the running road and I am waiting for it to get better. I strained it last Wednesday and on Saturday when it felt better, I played tennis for about 3 hours. STOOPID! Because now, I can't even carry Gem in the sling, I have to use the stroller and it doubles as a walker! BOOOHOO! I am icing my knee, taking meds and putting on the Ben Gay - hopefully, I will be able to walk later this week, I am shooting for Thursday at the gym!! Keep your fingers crossed!!
And while I have not been at the gym this week I have been sewing! Gem can wear wool knit as a diaper cover. Some people cut up old sweaters and make pants, well, I was intrigued. So, I took an old wool (thin merino) sweater and made some pants for her. Well, they didn't turn out pretty - but I got the idea. I also made her some new legwarmers out of women's knee socks for Halloween.
And then I went to Goodwill today and bought this wool sweater for $2.50 - and I am going to try again!! We don't have any wool sweaters anymore, guess that is what happens when you live in GA!!
Then I had some old fleece - and it too can be used as a diaper cover. So I used an old pattern and voila, pants.
But Gem wasn't too happy . . .
Guess this is a glimpse of things to come . . .

forgot my mileage update
I forgot my update yesterday! I ran about 1 1/2 miles and then I tweaked my knee pretty badly, so I finished up the rest on the treadmill! 388.5 - 4 = 384.5 more to go!

Pics for the day!
So a few pics for the day! Gem smiling, A in her 'beach' dress and B the HOKIE! The love playing with leaves and water on the deck - it keeps them busy for hours. They tell me they are making recipes!
And some pics of my diaper stash, they were all clean today minus the ones that we wore today, and I just thought I would take a pic!! I am waiting on some VT Longies, Pink Longies and some wool!! That is it! Have a good night!!

Happy National Apple Dumpling Day!
Who knew this was really a day! Here is a great looking recipe if you want to try an Apple Dumpling!!
Here are some links for you all!! And Khara, I could tell you where I found them, but then I would have to kill you!! HEHE - I couldn't not use that line!!
Thank goodness, don't change my chocolate!
And KELLI - look a new popcorn gadget!!
And KHARA - Chester County Fair is GOURMET - seriously!!
And SUMMER - you know how much love I have for my sling that I wear Gem in - what about this - think we need this here in GA??
And fun - I think this would be a funky looking floor for the girls room!
Gem has had a rough couple of nights falling asleep and she has had a runny nose, could she really be teething this time?? We will see!
And in the car today, B told me that she learned about "Showashins." Well, I had NO clue what she was talking about - so she reapeated the word louder, which of course didn't help. Finally, she spouted out "MOM it is COLOSSIANS 3:20 - Obey your parents." I thought that was a good thing to be learning at school. B also said her teacher has a REALLY BIG Bible. And it has A LOT in it!! I can't wait until she tries to remember how to pronounce Thessalonians - I will let you know how that comes out!!
And 3 more down today - so 391.5 - 3 = 388.5 Whoohoo, at this rate I will be making to Blacksburg for next year's football season! LOL

Too cute!
I have been trying to get youtube to post this here - but it has not shown up yet! I love it - a good use for the girls Elmo!
i love Fridays!
As much as I enjoy the time that the girls are at school, Fridays are really fun when they are home for the day!!
For example, we went ice skating this morning and they told me that we should do that every Friday! Gem went with us too, of course - and my coach 'babysat' for me! There were none of my teenage skaters there to watch her and Coach Karen loves babies! So I skated with the girls for 1/2 an hour until Gem decided she wanted to eat! I think I love watching the girls skate almost as much as I love skating myself!! They were turning and bunny hopping all over the place, and as for my skating, hum, my big post-baby belly makes spinning really difficult!!
Now, we are home and they want hot cocoa. Yup, we live in Hotlanta, it is overcast today, but still 80+ and they want a hot drink. Again, my children are so random!!
So, I am trying to figure out how Summer can run . . . I went to the Y this morning at 6:00 AM b/c I knew I wouldn't get there today otherwise. So I vote for Summer to rejoin the Y so she can run safely! 3 miles today (running and eliptical!) 394.5-3= 391.5 to go! (and that is miles, not pounds - although it feels like it!!)

Day 2 Update
Okay, walking, eliptical and running all count. I might need a pedometer for all the walking I do in Target, just kidding, that doesn't count!! And I cannot find a ticker/countdown thing that is not about babies, marriage or vacation, so Kelli let me know if you find one!
Yup, Summer you can get up early, there will be mornings that I will do that b/c I love running outside!! Or rejoin the Y, do they have kid care? That might be a nice break for the girls! Gem is going to be spending a lot of time at the Y! A and B wanted to miss school to go to our Y on Monday!
And Kelli - you have to run to b-burg, home, b-burg, and home again - no 95 miles for you!!

Day 2
Alright, so day 2 at the gym didn't go too badly. I ran and walked on the treadmill - b/c it looked like it was going to rain outside. But I can't wait to get back outside on the trail!! And I have come up with my motivator, I am going to 'run' to Blacksburg from Alpharetta! It is 398 miles and I figure once I run that, I could be totally back into shape!! So I have 2 from today and 1 1/2 from Monday, so even though I haven't made it to the 'interstate' yet, 3.5 down and 394.5 left!! Well, this might take awhile, but once I get my mileage back up to normal - it will go a lot faster!! Anybody else want to run 398 miles with me??

Fluffy Day!
I have not has a 'fluffy' day since Kelli visited!! It was is so exciting to get diapers and stuff in the mail today . . . makes my day! Here are a couple of Gem pics in her new stuff!!
A and B got a puzzleletter from Granny today, they told me after they watched a Pooh bear movie, they could do the puzzle!! So glad they have a plan.
And we had a random conversation in the car yesterday, B said, "Mom, why doesn't God just talk back to us?" So as we are explaining how he does talk to us, she interupted and added in the middle, "Why don't people keep lions as pets?" Our children are so random.
And a pic of all the girls hanging out on the couch!! Gem fits right in!

Hokie, Hokie, Hokie, Hi
Tech, Tech, VPI, Why oh why, can't we move the ball or stop the run. LSU better win the national championship, or else we might need to move down to 1-AA. Beamer, the Glennon kid needs to go home. Tyrod? Not sure yet, but I think he threw the ball in the right direction. That is a start.
Oh, if you don't have ESPN, you have not missed anything except a very sad game - so much so, that dh changed the channel to a NASCAR event, my dh. Amazing.
Have a good night and it is only half-time so if there is a miracle - I'll update. Don't wait up. SO SAD, SO SAD!
I still love you Virginia Tech!!

Happy National Macadamia Nut Day!
Benign??
I thought my neighborhood was friendly, we don't have the portable keg cart!
This is a Groom's Cake!!!!!
And I really want to put some more links on here, but I am so tired from Poison last night that I can barely read anything to share with you! Have a good night!

Where was I last night?
I will let you guess . . .
I saw 6 Mullets (one Mullet had missing teeth!) Read this link at Wikipedia if you do not know what a mullet is . . .
I saw 4 pairs of shoes like these being worn by real people! They were actually walking with them and not standing on the corner . . . hehehe
I saw more silicone implants than I could count . . . at least 10 pairs! And I won't put pictures of those here!!
And there were no concert t-shirts that I thought DH would wear!! So, no pics of these either!
Ratt was one of the opening acts . . .
Guess???
I went to the POISON Concert again this year!!
But they look more like this now . . .
I know, you are asking why! But it is fun to hear the 80's music LIVE! And so much fun to see the people that seriously listen to Poison and Ratt everyday! Some of the fans that are there are DIEHARD!! We even saw Rodeo from Brett Michael's show Rock of Love!
It was fun, I realized how old I am and I am partially deaf in my left ear today!! But if the Poison tour comes through your area next year, go and bring a camera!!
