LINKS!!

Hi - well I am supposed to be cleaning for my dad's visit this weekend . . . but as usual I am completely unmotivated!! So I am going to blog with some interesting things that I have read lately and then - in 20 minutes, I am going to get up and clean. Really!!

I would like this at the zoo!

Just because these would be fun to drink out of at Starbucks!

I used to love my brother's Transformers - and this new one
is pretty neat - too bad I never really got them back together correctly!

And this is just becuase I love to bring my horse to the ATM too!!

If I had a pool I would get these just for fun!

And for all the crafty people out there - this is just an amazing blog/magazine!!

blah blah blah blah blah

I am supposed to be writing my 'president' article for the newsletter. I just have nothing to write about. I start, and then I end up at Virginia Tech. I need some lighthearted writing - this newsletter goes out pretty much to moms of kids that are under 5ish. Aagh, writers block/tragedy on the mind is really horrible.

So I am going to tell you about my weekend: Yesterday, the zoo. Elephants, zebras, baby gorillas and a baby panda. Then lunch, kangaroos and a creepy petting zoo. After the zoo, nap. Then the girls played outside and we went to dinner at Chipotle's (Moe's wannabe.) DH and I watched a Virginia Tech special and both ended up in tears. (See it always goes back to Tech)

Today - I was nesting. I cleaned all the rooms upstairs. I even cleaned the laundry room. Do you know how messy your washing machine can get? I pulled the fabric softener thing in the middle out and underneath it had about a 1/2 inch of softener buildup. No more fabric softener here. Actually I started using Trader Joe's Detergent, since it works well for cloth diapers, and everything seems to be getting clean, even the girls stuff. Then after that the girls played outside and again, dh and I were too unmotivated to cook so we went out AGAIN!! We had a fantastic pizza at a real pizza place. No frozen or delivery tonight!! Now the girls are in bed, dh is watching the Simpsons and I am stumped.

Tomorrow I am taking the girls to Monkey Joe's in the morning. Then they have ice skating in the afternoon. Then I have the mom's market for the twins club at night. Sounds busy. But that is all for the week... Anybody hear the crickets chirping, probably not, since they are in my head and I still can't think of anything to write. . . .

Maybe I could write about the missing blogger . . . Skettie??? Okay, back to work.

Tech Day

Well, I have heard such wonderful things about the support that VA Tech has recieved in Virginia today. I did wear a VT hat, ribbons in my hair and a support ribbon on my shirt, but none of my college wear is maternity!! I am so proud to be a Hokie today!! I was the only one that I saw here today wearing Hokie pride, but I had several people ask me to make them ribbons to wear.

On a lighter note, we are going to the zoo tomorrow and the girls are hoping to see the baby panda! Me too! And we are all going to wear Hokie wear to the zoo!! The girls wanted to know if Aunt Kelli was going to be there - I don't know if they think you live there or if they are just remembering the last time they went to the zoo!! Hehe!!

And a big SHOUT OUT to KHARA!! Howdy Northerner!!

Who's That Girl??

In light of the Virginia Tech tragedy, I will continue on my search for the missing blogger . . . Skettie. She is a Hokie and she lives just outside of Dallas . . . this is a picture of her from a road trip in, um, never mind, I don't want to admit how old we all really are getting!!

Tuesday, April 17, 2007

I just read an article online that said that someone suggested that the President of Va Tech step down. I just want to say that I think that is the most ridiculous thing that I have ever heard. And that is all I want to say about that but I wanted to share my opinion on the matter.

I cannot believe that I am sitting here watching the most horrific news that I could have imagined coming from Virginia Tech. As an alumni I cannot imagine what life must be like there on campus today. My prayers are with students, families and the victims.

It is hard to believe that something like this could happen today. I remember how much I loved being on campus, heck, I actually lived on campus for two years. It is such a beautiful place - a tragedy of this magnitude shouldn't happen in a place like this, nor really should anything like this happen anywhere.

Martes (Tuesday) Again!!

Hola! Tonight is my salute to Spanish words!! The girls take spanish at school and they love to tell me what they have learned! Although sometimes I think they are making up words and telling me they are Spanish! B has started calling me MaMA - stressing the end MA and she tells me that is my Spanish name. Guess I should try and learn some too so they can't talk about me behind my back when they are older!!

We had a fun but cold Spring Break - luckily today it started to warm up and we were outside riding bikes. Well, the girls were riding the bikes.

Here are a couple of pictures of me and the girls. The first picture doesn't really show how large I feel, in fact, I am starting to wonder if I am going to make it until the end of May . . . The second picture is me without the two chins!! And the girls of course, take the best pictures without even worrying!!

Tuesday Update!!

Hi everyone!! Tuesday seems to be my weekly update night!! I watch AI and dh plays tennis so it works out perfectly!! I recorded the first 20 minutes of AI and I think I have almost caught up 5 minutes later - yikes, Idol is so full of talk and commercials!!

I just finished a wonderful bowl of Chocolate Moose Tracks Ice Cream!! The one thing I do love about being preggers is ice cream!! I do eat ice cream when I am not pregnant but there is something about ice cream that tastes SOOO much better when I am not really worrying about the calories!! YUMYUMYUM!!

The girls are on Spring Break this week! We have a pretty full week planned. Yesterday we had a birthday party and ice skating. Today we were supposed to have an easter egg hunt but there were all kinds of thunderstorms around so we cancelled it. But as luck would have it - we were the only neighborhood in Atlanta that missed the rain!! AAGH!! The girls were crushed. But we had pizza for dinner and that seemed to have solved the problem. Tomorrow we have my doctors appointment and then lunch with dh. Thursday we are going to the farm, Holy Cow Farm that is and Friday dh has the day off - so I will be going shopping to fill up easter baskets!! I hope there are still things left!!

So I have caught up to AI on the tivo. Jordin did a fantastic job - I want to sing like that (and I do in the shower, really, I am good there!) I have not heard Sanjaya - but he is not going home. I think that guy could come out and do the chicken dance and he would be safe. IMHO - the girls are really better this year than the guys (unless you count Sanjaya as a girl and then they are tied!)

Oh wait, Sanny is next . . . aagh - he is a lounge lizard, a slimy car dealer and cannot sing!! I think I might have enjoyed the chicken dance more. In fact, he just said, "welcome to the universe of Sanjaya" to Simon. I have no more words.

Back to blog stuff, I really do have some new pictures of the girls to put up here but the camera is out in the car and I am too lazy to get up and get it. So hopefully I will be back to blog before next Tuesday!!

Have a great week!!
